IPAMORELIN (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide) is a synthetic, highly selective agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor. It is utilized for treating children with growth hormone deficiency, adults with GH deficiency, catabolic states, and obesity. It is produced as an IPAMORELIN (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide) 2mg/vial injection that includes Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide 2mg along with excipients.

 

Mechanism of Action of IPAMORELIN:

IPAMORELIN promotes growth hormone release by interacting with the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R). The precise method of GH release following GHSR stimulation remains unclear. However, research indicates it acts directly on both the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, influencing GHRH and somatostatin. Unlike various other GH secretagogues, it does not induce the secretion of cortisol, ACTH, prolactin, FSH, or LH, which makes it particularly selective and effective for treating Growth Hormone deficiency.
